The lifts had been shut for over over a month at Brighton, Utah but as is often the case if just keeps snowing and snowing well into the month of May. Such was the case in 2006, where the storms kept coming through preventing the season from ending both environmentally and mentally. Of course these are good problems to have, ones that I'd wish for every year. Luckily Erin Comstock and Amber Stackhouse were still in snowboarding mode and were game to shoot on the closed mountain. We somehow had permission to ride our snowmobiles on the resort, or maybe it was a sort of of "asking for forgiveness rather that permission" scenario. In any case, even with sleds we were somewhat limited in venturing too deep into the terrain because of the melt-out between storms. We settled on this cabin on the resort to scratch the airtime itch one last time before it would be time to hang it up for the season.
