After shooting with Torstein for a number of years, I'd seen him destroy literally every kind of terrain, but never shot with him on transition. When he put together a season finale shoot for the last Shred Bots film at Mammoth, I was a little surprised that he chose a hip of all features to have the resort build. Well that surprise wore of quick watching him go to work like he was a seasoned pipe jock. This photo was from what was supposed to be a warm up session, to test out the build. There was weather coming, so there was only time for a few quick goes at it. This is his version of taking it easy and feeling things out. There had also been a lot of logistical headaches and obstacles to overcome just to get to this point, so I think he was also taking out some frustrations. This ended up being my favorite shot from that shoot not just for the moodiness, but it was a rare look at Tor just doing something as a basic as an indy straight air that really showcases his style.
